Blanchard, Oklahoma October 1, 2013 William Wesley Starr Dates: Birth date: March 16, 1923 Death date: October 1, 2013 William Wesley Starr, 90, formerly of Blanchard, died Tuesday, October 1, 2013 in Norman. The son of Anna B. [Chapman] Starr and Willie Preston Starr, he was born March 16, 1923 in Mangum, Oklahoma. Wesley was a United States Army Veteran of World War II. He worked as an administrative officer for the FAA and retired after 27 years of service. Wesley was a member of the Blanchard First United Methodist Church and the VFW. He was a pilot and enjoyed flying in his spare time. Wesley loved cooking and owned and operated different restaurants throughout his life. His greatest love was his family and he greatly enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Randy Starr; a son-in-law, Corky Roberts; one grandson, Ryan Starr; and a brother, James Starr. Wesley is survived by one son, Mark Starr and his wife, Cindy, of Blanchard; three daughters, Dana Maytubby and her husband, Phillip, of Moore, Lisa Roberts of Union City, and Patty Kimbrough and her husband, Kevin, of Blanchard; eight grandchildren, Josh Starr and his wife, Echo, of Mustang, Jeremiah Starr and his wife, Grace, of El Reno, Erin Vorderlandwehr and her husband, Patrick, of Edmond, Kyle Maytubby of Moore, Clement Roberts and his wife, Tory, of Mustang, Brandon Roberts and his wife, Bre, of Mustang, Christina Meyer and her husband, Travis, of Blanchard, and Kayla Adams and her husband, Jeremy, of Fort Sill; fifteen great grandchildren; one brother, Bill Starr and his wife, Jacque, of Mangum; his former wife and the mother of his children, Marjorie Starr of Newcastle; and many other loved ones and friends. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, October 7, 2013, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Interment with military honors will follow at 1:00 PM in the Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
