Willie Arthur Rames

On 1 October, 2008, Willie A. Rames, 80 years old, died in Norman, Oklahoma.Services were on Monday, 6 October, 2008 at 10 a.m. and burial was at 2 p.m. at the Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma. Services were under the direction of Primrose Funeral Service.

Willie Rames was born in Apache, Oklahoma, to Tom and Lilly Rames on 16 August 1928. He was a life long resident of Oklahoma. He married Dorothy Rames on 21 July 1961.

Willie was a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was an original member of the Army's 45th Infantry Division and served for over 37 years and retired in 1981 as Command Sergeant Major.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of the home; twin daughters, Annette Russell and Jeanette Stewart; a sister, Dora Cox; grandchildren, Wesley Russell, Jacob Russell, Robert Stewart, and Mary Stewart.

His parents and a brother, Roy Rames, preceded him in death.
