Charles E. Quam NORMAN ~ Charles E. Quam, 77, of Norman, passed away Sept. 16, 2011. He was born in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, to Lloyd and Frieda [Schmidtke] Quam on July 24, 1934. He proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard for 20 years including time in Vietnam. He retired from the Norman Postal Service in 1996 after 18 years of service. Charles is survived by his wife, Beverly, of the home; daughter, Brenda Delaney and husband Curtis of Norman; 2 sons: Gary and wife Rebecca of Plano, TX; and Andrew and wife Jeanie of Norman; 6 grandchildren, Amanda and Patrick Datugan, Blake Delaney, Alexis Quam, Gary Quam, Jr., Matthew Quam and Jessica Quam; 2 sisters, Shirley and Mark Vandermissen and Linda and Wayne Block; and 3 brothers, Donald and Carlye Quam, Carlton and Marianne Quam and Roger Quam. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Sylvester. Memorial Services will be 9:30 AM, Thursday, September 22, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1441 SW 104th, OKC, OK, with inurnment following at 1:00 pm at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, OK. |
