Elizabeth Putman

Birth date: January 11, 1936
Death date: January 12, 2014

Elizabeth Putman was born January 11, 1936 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Madgie Lee and Jason Rutledge. She died in a hospital with family and friends at her side on January 12, 2014 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years.

She moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas with her family when she was thirteen.

She met Walter Putman in Lawton and was married on August 13, 1969.

She traveled around the country doing comedy shows opening for big acts such as "Shucky Duckie" and "Monique" to name a few.

She also owned and operated "The Cafe" on First Street in the eighties

She loved going to church, fishing, cooking, playing dominoes, and cards she could keep anyone's attention when she was telling one of her stories. She also enjoyed making her own clothes. She was a member of "Another Chance Ministries".

Pallbearers will be Michael Turner, Eugene Craine, Michael Turner Jr, Aaron Turner, Shovonta Forrest, and Zach Adams Jr. She is preceded in death by husband, Walter Putman; two daughters; Margie Tremble, Rosemary Rackard; both parents, Jason and Madgie Rutledge

. She is survived by her son, Eugene Craine, of Lawton, OK; eight grandchildren; Michael Turner and his wife Marsha, of Lawton, OK, Elizabeth Craine, of Lawton, OK, Cheryl Adams, of Fort Smith, AR, Tanisha Stevenson-Harris, of Chesterfield, VA, Jason Orr, of Lawton, OK, Tyshell Craine, of Muskogee, OK, Manerva Craine, of Montgomery, AL, Elasha Craine, of Muskogee, OK; fourty great and great-great, grandchildren, her baby, Precious Mitchell, of Lawton, OK. She also has many loving family members, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

Visitation:
4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Monday, January 20, 2014 at Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service 6210 NW Cache Road Lawton Oklahoma 73505.

Service:
12:00 pm on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Whinery-Huddleston Chapel 6210 NW Cache Road Lawton Oklahoma 73505
