Chickasha, Oklahoma April 30, 2010 Delbert Leon McCurley Graveside services for Delbert Leon McCurley of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday May 5, 2010 at Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma. Delbert Leon McCurley, Age 66, was born March 6, 1944 in Alex, OK, the son of G.B. "Ed" and Rilla [McMillan] McCurley. He died April 30, 2010 in Chickasha. He and Viola Gee were married January 20, 2007 in Chickasha. Delbert spent most of his life in Chickasha. He served over 9 years in the U.S. Army. He served in Germany and Korea He had worked in the Chickasha area as a concrete finisher. He and Viola enjoyed square dancing, riding his motorcycle, fishing and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: James, Arthur and Richard McCurley; two granddaughters: Ciscili McCurley and Samantha Lampkin and great granddaughter: Brianna Lampkin. Survivors include wife: Viola McCurley of the home; four sons. Delbert McCurley Jr. and wife Christine of Choctaw, OK; Michael McCurley and wife Sandi of Ninnekah, OK; Charles Ragus of Chickasha, OK; Lee Cartwright and wife Jennifer of Chickasha, OK; six daughters: Pam Frias and husband Victor of Chickasha, OK; Denise Ramirez and husband Modesto of Chickasha, OK; Barbara Placker and husband James of Oklahoma City, OK; Lori Campbell and husband Billy of Yukon, OK; Diann Viveros and husband Guillermo of Oklahoma City, OK; Nancy Williams of Oklahoma City, OK; a brother: Garvin McCurley of Miami, OK, 33 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephew and other relatives. Interment will be in the Ft. Sill National Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
