Chickasha, Oklahoma Wednesday, 9 May, 2007 Pablo Frank Martinez Funeral services for Pablo Frank Martinez, 86, of Chickasha will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 12, 2007, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel. Pablo Frank Martinez was born September 20, 1920, in El Paso, Texas. He died Monday, May 7, 2007, in Chickasha. Interment will be in the Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma on Monday, May 14, 2007, under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. © The Chickasha Express-StarChickasha, Oklahoma Thursday, 10 May, 2007 Pablo Frank Martinez Funeral services for Pablo Frank Martinez, 86, of Chickasha will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 12, 2007, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Kim Hayes officiating. Pablo Frank Martinez was born September 20, 1920, in El Paso, Texas, the son of José and Delfina [Lopez] Martinez. He died Monday, May 7, 2007, in Chickasha.Pablo came to Chickasha from El Paso as a young boy. He attended Chickasha public schools. In 1941, he joined the U.S. Navy serving during WWII. He then returned to Oklahoma and went to work for Tinker Air Force Base, where he worked for 47 years and retired. He was very proud to serve his country. He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, supporting and being active in the Chickasha Public School systems. He had previously coached Chickasha Little League baseball, assisted with the Chickasha Girls Soccer League, was a volunteer for Lincoln School, and attended all of the Chickasha High School football games. He was also very active with his granddaughter, Deana and her activities. He will be greatly missed by those that had the opportunity to know him. He was preceded in death by both parents; two sisters: Ella Jo and Mary; two brothers: Joe and Jimmy. Survivors include daughter, Laura Young, of Chickasha; six grandchildren: Paul Traywick, of Norman; Deana Land, Cadie Young, Kellen Young, Casie Pearce, and Kylie Pearce, all of Chickasha; great-granddaughter, Angelique Howard, of Chickasha; one sister Emma Wright, of Sacramento, California; and numerous nieces and nephews. Private interment will be in the Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma on Monday, May 14, 2007, under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. |
