Lawton, Oklahoma December 12, 2014 Nancy Jean [Stromquist] Liming Birth date: January 23, 1938 Death date: December 12, 2014 Nancy Jean Liming was born on January 23, 1938 in Osceola, WI to Harry and Violet [Holland] Stromquist. She died on December 12, 2014 in Lawton, OK at the age of 76. Nancy grew up on a farm and later moved to St. Paul when she was nine years old. She met Charles "Chuck" Liming in Osceola, WI and they married in September 1953. They spent 28 years of their lives in the United States Air Force, moving her family 15+ times during their military career. Her life was centered on her four boys and Chuck. After the Air Force they went on to have a successful insurance business in Minot, North Dakota. While in Minot they were heavily involved in community activities and their Catholic Church. Once retiring from the insurance business they moved to Lawton, Oklahoma so they could be closer to their children and grandchildren. Nancy was a stunning matriarch of the Liming family, and as more people joined the family, she welcomed them with genuine love and kindness. She loved her grandkids, whether they had four legs or two, and loved her late husband unconditionally and with a kind, patient spirit. A perfect day for Nancy was to have her family perched up on her kitchen chairs, entertaining them and hearing about their adventures. She would tell us stories of the family's life and all the places they lived and people they had met. Chuck and she were married for 55 years prior to his death in November 2008. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Chuck, son Keith, and brother in law Tom Hubbard. Survivors include three sons, Chuck Liming and wife Theresa of Lawton, Neil Liming of Branson, MO, and Dr. Troy Liming and wife Meredith of Trophy Club, TX; grandchildren, Amanda Liming and her sons Christopher and Michael J. (MJ) of Berryville, AR, Sheena Elam, her husband Kyle and their daughter Kacelyn of Lawton, and Lia Liming of Lawton; one sister, Jane Hubbard of Pharr, TX; a daughter in law, Beatriz Liming in Arkansas; sisters in law, Maxine Albrecht and husband Lee in Wisconsin, Verda Johnson in Montana, Verna Olderbak in North Dakota, Nancy Keller and husband John in Florida, and Suzanne Harmel and husband Brad in Colorado; a brother in law, Dwight Liming and wife Bertha in North Dakota; a nephew, Michael Hubbard, his wife Rose and their daughter Jamie, and many additional extended family members and friends.
