Raymond L. Leafgreen
May 02, 1946 ~ December 21, 2010

CW3 Raymond Lee Leafgreen ,ret, was born on May 2, 1946 at El Reno, Oklahoma to Ralph and Bettye [Jones] Leafgreen.

He died on December 21, 2010 in Lawton, Oklahoma at the age of 64.

Services will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, December 23, 2010 in the Whinery-Huddleston Chapel with Dr. Danny Martin, God’s Family Community Church, officiating.

Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at 1:00 PM, Ft Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, OK. Boy Scout Troop 175 will act as pallbearers.

Raymond was raised and attended school in OK. He graduated from Cushing High School and entered the US Army a year later.

Raymond and Debra A. Hall were married on October 28, 1970 in Cushing, OK.

He served his country for over 22 years including 10 years overseas and numerous duty stations here in the United States. Decorations and commendations include the Bronze Star Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/Palm, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/Silver Star, and numerous additional medals, citations and achievements.

Raymond retired in 1988 and has resided in Lawton since that time where he was employed with the civil service on post until his retirement in 2006. His hobbies included token collecting and traveling. Raymond was also an active supporter of the Boy Scouts and attended God’s Family Community Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Debbie of the home; 2 sons, Paul William Leafgreen and his wife Melet of Ft Worth, TX, and Michael Ray Leafgreen and his wife Cassie of Oklahoma City; 1 grandchild, Lillian Joy Leafgreen of Oklahoma City; sister, Sherry Leafgreen of Norman, OK, and an aunt, Nellie Seeds of Dell City, OK.
