Lawton Oklahoma 1 July 2012 J T Gilley SFC JT Gilley, USA (ret) was born on February 18, 1942 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to William and Altona [Sage] Gilley. He died on July 1, 2012 in Lawton, Oklahoma at the age of 70 JT was raised and attended school in Oklahoma. He entered the military in 1965 and served with distinction in Vietnam, receiving numerous decorations and medals. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1986 as a SFC and has remained in the Lawton/Ft Sill area since that time. JT was an outgoing individual who loved being with friends and enjoying life. These people were his family, and they knew how he valued living life to it's fullest. JT was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his wife Beulah and many close friends. The following Irish Blessing best describes JT's outlook on life, and his parting wish for his friends: May love and laughter light your days, and warm your heart and home. May good and faithful friends be yours, wherever you may roam. May peace and plenty bless your world with joy that long endures. May all life's passing seasons bring the best to you and yours!
