Mark Shawn Daniels

Mark S. Daniels, 49, Altus, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Mark was born on January 7, 1966 to Carl William and Marjorie [McLaughlin] Daniels in Fort Thomas, Kentucky.

Mark and Le Daniels were united in marriage on January 18, 1985 in Las Vegas, Nevada. To this union two children were born.

Mark served his country in the United States Air Force for 22 years, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant.

He worked at Bar S, Quartz Mountain Aircraft and then Altus Air Force Base, where he worked as a refueling mechanic.

He enjoyed car racing, riding motorcycles, and rode with the Patriot Guard. Mark loved his family and was especially proud when his grandson was born.

Mark was a member of the Olustee First Baptist Church.

Mark is preceded in death by his stepmother, Kathy Daniels. He is survived by his wife, Le, of the home; father, Carl William Daniels of Kentucky; mother, Marjorie Daniels of Altus, OK; daughter, Casey Utesch and husband, Michael, of Jenks, OK; son, Aaron Daniels and wife, Megan, of Enid, OK; grandson, William Daniel Utesch; two brothers, Bob Daniels and Lester Daniels, both of Kentucky; and three sisters, Maria Daniels of Cincinatti, OH, and Tina Gross and Anna Marie Daniels, both of Kentucky.

Funeral services with military honors have been scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, April 20, 2015 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Jan Ivan Oden officiating.

Inurnment will take place at a later date in the Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin.
