Bill Rex Conway

Bill Rex Conway age 73 of Lexington, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 5, 2015 at his home. He was born May 29, 1942 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He was one of four children born to Rex Lee Conway and Bonnie Lee [Stricklin] Conway.

Bill grew up in the OKC area and graduated from Star Spencer High School with the class of 1960.

He later joined the U. S. Army and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. While in the Army, Bill became a helicopter pilot and flew numerous missions during the war.

After he was honorably discharged from the service he continued his passion of flying helicopters as a profession. For many years he worked and flew in the Gulf of Mexico area. His last job before retiring was flying as an Air Evacuation Pilot for Children's Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Bill will be remembered for the love of his country, love for his family and love for his animals. He was a kind hearted man who was always willing to help someone in need. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by: Mother, Bonnie Tucker; Father, Rex Conway; One son, Rex "Kevin" Conway; Two sisters, Myra Conway and Janice Dillon

He is survived by: Daughter, Brenda Dodd and husband Jerry of Blanchard, OK; Son, Curtis Conway of Wayne, OK; Brother, Mac Conway and wife Deanna of Norman; 4 Grandchildren, Kurt Conway and wife Cynthia of Clinton, OK, Josh Wilson of Republic, MO, Amanda Wilson of Nixa, MO, Blake Conway of Grove, OK; Great grandchildren, Jesse Conway, Lexie Conway, Cruz Damian and Landon Conway; Many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside memorial services will be held at Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, OK at 1:00 P.M., Monday October 26, 2015.

Arrangements are by Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.

A special thanks to Miss Debra with Loving Care and Johanna with Health Back for their care and kindness extended to our father Bill.
