Margarita Babauta [Pineda] Camacho

Margarita Babauta Pineda Camacho was born on June 13, 1951 in Tamuning, Guam to Juan L. G. and Carmen Babauta Pineda. She died on June 12, 2012 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 60.

Margaret was raised and attended school in Agat, Guam, the oldest of 13 children.

She married Francisco San Nicholas Camacho on April 8, 1972 in Guam, and moved to the states in 1976 when Francisco joined the US Army. They first lived at Ft Polk, LA, and then moved to Ft Sill which they made their permanent home.

In addition to being a full time wife and mother, Margaret also worked for AAFES in the PX on Post for 17 years. She enjoyed shopping, gardening and going to the casino with her friends. The most wonderful memories of Margaret evolve around her cooking skills which she shared many times at large cookouts for her family and friends.

She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and husband, three brothers, and one sister.

Survivors include four sons, Frank Camacho Jr. and his wife Rowena of Yigo, Guam, Danny Camacho and wife Jessica of Kempner, TX, Steven Camacho and wife Amanda of Oklahoma City, and Derrick Camacho and wife Stephanie, also of Oklahoma City, and an adopted son, John Hogan and wife Tasha of Lawton. Margaret also leaves nine grandchildren, Monique, Nico, Mason, Andrew, Iliana, Eden, Camron, Adan and Brennan; all who will have fond memories of their grandmother and were the light of her life.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Margarita Camacho Memorial Fund, PO Box 7079, Lawton, OK, 73506.
