Pauline Marie [Ruth] Beck
February 05,1935 ~ March 30, 2016

Pauline Marie Beck, Lawton, was born February 5, 1935 in Centrahoma, Oklahoma to Herman and Lois Ruth.

She passed away at home peacefully with family on March 30, 2016, at the age of 81.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at 12:00pm in the Whinery-Huddleston Chapel.

Burial will follow at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, under direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service.

Pauline grew up and attended school in Centrahoma. During her school years she played softball and basketball.

Pauline married Robert "R.D." Beck on March 10, 1952, in Stonewall, OK; they recently celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. Together they had 3 children: Robert, Annette, and Trish.

She was a devoted military wife for 20 years. While on a weekend pass, R.D. hitchhiked from Washington to Oklahoma to take Pauline a ring. Pauline was the rock of the family during the military years of their marriage. She traveled with R.D. and family to several bases in the USA and Panama. She always helped the family feel like they were on an adventure.

Pauline was a loving mother and wife and enjoyed caring for others. She not only raised her children, but helped with her grandchildren, who have great loving memories of her.

She loved people and was always finding ways to do nice things to make people feel special and loved. Some of those ways included baking a special cake, creating an embroidered item that became a keepsake, or giving a warm smile.

She enjoyed the outdoors and swimming - where she could be found most summers enjoying the company of her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lois and Herman Ruth, 1 sister, and 2 brothers.

Survivors include her loving husband of 64 years, Robert; children: Annette Hessin and husband Robert; Robert D. Beck, Jr and wife Sue Logan Beck; and Trish Beck-Gutierrez; grandchildren, Amanda Thorsen and husband Tray; Jonathan Beck and wife Carmen; Alex Beck; Hannah Hessin; and Matthew Hessin; great-grandchildren, Justin Eric Thorsen and Mary Elizabeth Beck; nephew, Thomas Beck and wife Shelia; nephew, James Beck and wife Virginia; niece, IngeMae Glass; niece, Claudia Bizzarro and husband Mike; and numerous extended family members and friends.
