Frank Russel Williams, Sr.

September 5, 1954 ~ March 28, 2019

Funeral and home-going services for Frank Williams Sr. will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday April 4, 2019 at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. T. Hurley, officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Sill National Cemetery with full military honors and under the direction of Whinery Huddleston Funeral Service.
1LT Frank R. Williams Sr., USA Retired, age 64, was born on September 5, 1954 to James and Muriel Williams in Point Fortin, Trinidad & Tobago W.I. where he attended EC Government school as a young boy, then Vessigny Secondary school where lifelong friendships were formed. Frank joined the US Army in 1975 at Fort Dix, New Jersey place of entry into active duty. He married his high school sweetheart, AnneMarie Alleyne and they had three children. He enjoyed providing for his family. His military duty stations to included Ft. Rucker in Alabama, Ft Polk in Louisiana, Korea, Neunberg Germany, Ft. Sam Houston in Texas and lastly Ft. Sill Oklahoma, where he retired after serving for twenty-three years, with his family. He proudly served his country.
Frank accepted Christ early in life. He was ordained as a deacon in 1986. He was a faithful member of St. John's Missionary Baptist Church and Galilee Missionary Baptist Church.
Decorations, Medals, Badges, Citations and Campaign Ribbons awarded or authorized to include Meritorious Service Medal/Army Commendation Medal (2ND Award) // Army Achievement Medal (2ND Award) // Army Good Conduct Medal (7th Award) // Noncommissioned Officer's Professional Developmental Ribbon with numeral 3 // Army Service Ribbon // Overseas Service Ribbon (3rdAward). Military Education: Primary Leadership Developmental Course in 1994, Warrant Officer Orientation Course in 1991 and Physician Assistant 1992. After Frank retired from the military, he continued working as a Physician Assistant, first, with Dr. Richard T. Brittingham at Comanche County Memorial Hospital. He then worked at Department of Corrections and retired for the second time in his career. He also assisted with the opening of the first Free Clinic with Dr. Wendy Bartenen (Deceased), volunteering and rendering services to the Lawton and surrounding community. While working with DOC, he later opened his own practice, East Lawton Neighborhood Family Clinic in July 2014 until April 2017. He then worked at GEO for a short period of time before becoming seriously ill.
On Thursday, March 28, 2019, the Lord called home Frank to his eternal rest. He was 64 years old.
Frank was preceded in death by his mother and father, James and Muriel Williams, his sister Stephanie Leach and his brother Cyril Williams. He is survived by his wife of forty-two years, AnneMarie Williams (Lawton, OK); his children Frank Jr. and Candace Williams (Clarkesville, TN), Tai and KaDaysha Williams (Cache, OK) and Theleka Williams-Henderson (Lawton, OK); his grandchildren Dezmund Williams (Lawton, OK), Kailah Ballou (Elgin, OK), TaiSha Williams (Cache, OK), TaiYahna Williams (Cache, OK), TaiRah Williams (Cache), Zayden Barnhart (Clarkesville, TN), KaiRee Henderson (Lawton, OK); his siblings, Denise King, Carol Beecher, Stephen Williams, Egbert Williams, Gwendolyn Williams and Octive Lewis along with a host of nieces and nephews.
