Loretta Jackson Williams-Brown

January 15, 1961 - March 31, 2026

Loretta Jackson Williams Brown began this life on January 15, 1961, in Baird, Mississippi. She was born to Charlie "Big Mike" Williams and Catherine Williams, both of whom preceded her in death. She had three siblings, two of whom also preceded her in death: her brother, Charles Raymon Williams, Sr., and her sister, Isabella Wade Williams.
Loretta confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at Swan Lake M.B. Church under the leadership of the late Reverend M.J. Dean.
Loretta met James Brown and fell head over heels in love with him. They were united in holy matrimony on June 21, 1997.
After graduating from Gentry Hish School in May 1979, Loretta entered the military on January 29, 1980. She faithfully served in the United States Army from January 1980 through November 1986. During her time in the Army, she used her skills as a nurse at Reynolds Army Health Clinic located in Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
After medically retiring in 1997 as an E-5, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2001 she relocated to Vicksburg, Mississippi, where she made her home.
Loretta had an infectious smile; to know her was to love her. She departed this life on March 31, 2026, in Vicksburg, Mississippi.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, James Brown of Vicksburg, Mississippi; one daughter, DeDee Williams of Baltimore, Maryland; one brother, Larry Williams of Memphis Tennessee; two God sisters, Sally Chambers and Dorothy Pernell of Moorhead, Mississippi; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
