Josefina Rosario Toves

September 16, 1928 - June 06, 2017

Josefina Mesa Toves, also known as "Tan Josefina" - Familian Kilu'us of Guam, was called to be with the Lord on June 6, 2017. She was 89 years old. "Josefine or Mama Toves" received a Bachelor's of Arts in English and minored in History and Music from the University of South Dakota and returned home to Guam where she taught Music and English at several of the island schools for many years. "Fina" moved from Piti, Guam, to Lawton, Oklahoma in 1989 where she finally settled down to enjoy retirement with her husband Jesus. She was active in the Catholic Church and was a blessing to everyone she came into contact with. She is survived by her six children, eleven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren and two sisters.
