Brandon Ray Tidwell

December 5, 1974 - January 12, 2017

Celebration of life services for Brandon Ray Tidwell, 42, Enid, will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in Central Christian Church with Chaplain D.E. Butch Phillips officiating. Committal prayers and interment will be held at Ft. Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service and Cremation Directors.
Brandon was born on December 5, 1974 in Springfield, Massachusetts, the son of Lonnie Ray and Linda Sue Beard Tidwell, and passed away on January 12, 2017 at his residence. He graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1993, later receiving his Certified Med Aide Diploma from O.T. Autry Tech. Brandon enlisted in the United States Army and served basic training at Ft. Sill in 1994 and receiving orders to Germany in 1995. He was deployed to service in Southwest Asia where he was a Premary Specialty Patriot Missle crew member for seven years and ten months. Brandon received the Army Commendation Medal/Army Achievement. Brandon returned to Enid and at the time of his passing, was a 911 Dispatcher for the Garfield County Sheriff's Office.
Survivors include his parents, Sue and Cecil Zimmerman of Enid; brothers, Brad Tidwell and wife Sophia of Roswell, New Mexico, and Russell Zimmerman of Denver, Colorado; uncles, John Beard and wife Cynthia of Aztec, New Mexico, and Ron Tidwell of Kansas; cousins, Buffi and Becci Beard, Maggie Cousins, Terrance Tidwell, Stacy and Brandee Waldsmidt and baby, cousins from Owensboro, Kentucky, numerous friends and brothers in arms.
