Denver Clarence Stovall

October 15, 1930 - April 17, 2017

Retired Warrant Officer Denver C. Stovall, age 86, of Lawton passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, April 17, 2017.
Denver was born in Dallas, Texas on October 15, 1930 to Denver and Mary Katherine (Coppage) Stovall. He joined the United States Army in 1949. While in the Army, he met and married the love of his life, Rosa Marie (Bauer) Stovall. They were married in Kusal, Germany and would spend the next sixty wonderful years together. He retired from the military in 1971, after proudly serving twenty years and seven months for his country. He was a good man, an amazing husband and a loving father and grandfather. He will be remembered for many things, but most of all for his love and dedication to his family.
Denver is preceded in death by his parents, Denver and Mary Stovall; his sister, Mary Lee Haley and husband Elton and two granddaughters, Adelie and Abigail Kalchik.
Denver is survived by his wife, Rosa M. Stovall of the home; four daughters, Marie Kalchik and husband Robert of Indiahoma, Jeanniene Simon of Lawton, Suzette Barnett of Lawton and Brigette Stovall of Indiahoma; one brother-in-law, Karl Heinz Bauer and wife Lilo of Germany; one sister-in-law, Inga Keller and husband Agon of Germany; three nieces, Joanna Bohannon and husband Bill of Texas, Rebecca Romano and husband Fred of Texas and Sherri Page and husband Wayne of Texas; one nephew, David Haley and wife Shirley of Alabama; seven grandsons, Denver Kalchik and wife Brittany of Cache, Jonathon Kalchik of Illinois, Kristopher Raatz of Michigan, Cody Blankenship of Lawton, Anthony Pla of New York and Benjamin Barnett and wife Ellisia of Lawton; three granddaughters, Jeannie Tate and husband Montana (Will) of Cache, Brigette Whitehead and husband Michael of Maryland and Rachel Blankenship of New York along with fifteen great grandchildren that love their Opa very much.
