Homer David Stevens

July 26, 1953 - November 7, 2022

Funeral service for CMSGT Homer D. Stevens, USAF, (RET), 69, of Lawton, Oklahoma, will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, November 14, 2022, at Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service, 6210 NW Cache Rd. Lawton, OK 73505.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home in the Stoney Huddleston Memorial Chapel.
Interment will follow at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, OK with Full Military Honors. Homer was born July 26, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan. He passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022.
During his 32 years of service in the U.S. Air Force. Homer received many honors. Meritorious Service Medal with Four Bronze Oak leaf Clusters. Air Force Commendation Medal with Three Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster. Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with 7 Devices. Joint MeritoriousUnit Award. Air Force Good Conduct Medal with 9 Devices. Armed Forces ExpeditionaryMedal. Air Force Good Conduct Medal with 9 devices. NCO Professional Military Education Ribbon with 2 Devices. Air Force Longevity Service Award with 6 Devices. National Defense Service Medal with 2 devices. Air Force Overseas Long Tour with one device. Air Force Overseas Short Tour Ribbon.
His hobbies included walks with his walking group of the men of his community, collecting trains, and reading. He was a Nascar fanatic.
He is survived by his children, Maria C. Fuller(Stevens) Lawton, Ok. and James H. & Jeanette Stevens, Phoenix, Az.
Grandchildren, Caelab Fuller, Lawton, Ok. Terrance, Sierra, James Jr., Genairo, Anyssa, James III Stevens of Phoenix, Az.
Great Grandchildren, Kash Moore-Fuller, Elgin, Ok. GioVanni Granados, Elgin, Ok.
Siblings, Harry Stevens of Detroit, Michigan. Mark and Dorothy Stevnes of Colorado Springs, Co. Nephew, Rusell Stevens.
Niece, Brittany Stevens.
Great Nephew, Gabriel Stevens.
