Roy Lee Spitzer

August 9, 1954 - January 27, 2025

Roy Lee Spitzer, 70, of Blanchard, died Monday, January 27, 2025, in Blanchard, Oklahoma. The son of Archie Ray Spitzer and Helen Irene (Cummings) Spitzer, Roy was born August 9, 1954, in Santa Rosa, California.
Roy was a U.S. Navy Veteran and served in the Vietnam Era on the U.S.S. Midway. He grew up in California where he worked as a mover and truck driver in 48 States throughout his career. He had a love for his cars and motorcycle in his younger days and spent time at the Coast and Lake. Roy lived most of his life in California until he moved to Oklahoma 20 years ago where he retired.
Roy lived a simple life and his greatest enjoyment came from doing what he enjoyed; fishing, growing his garden, sketching or drawing artwork, and spending time with family and friends. He loved football season especially when it meant he got to watch the OU Sooners play. Roy loved to make people smile and laugh, loved telling jokes and singing to country music. He would get a kick out of imitating his voice to Donald Duck for people. Roy had an infectious smile, charm and shared his heart and kindness with everyone he met. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Archie Spitzer, and one son, Travis Spitzer.
Roy is survived by his mother, Helen Spitzer of California; four daughters, Wendy Lanning and husband, Robert, of Tuttle, Jennifer Seitz and husband, Werner, of Norman, Sandra Stevenson of California, and Tiffany Ratchford and husband, Buck, of California; one son, Dustin Spitzer and wife, Felicia, of Florida; nine grandchildren, Morgan, Logan, Andrew, Brody, London, Alexis, Ruben, Jake, and Luke; three brothers, Bobby Spitzer of California, Glen Spitzer and wife, Michele, of Florida, and David Spitzer and wife, Marie, of California; and many other loved ones and friends.
Graveside service and burial with military honors will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, February 7, 2025, at the Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
