Frank Rose

June 13, 1920 - September 28, 2010

Col. Frank L. Rose, Jr., 90, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2010 in Norman, Oklahoma. He was born June 13, 1920 in Eunice, Louisiana to Frank L. and Edna Mae (McFarland) Rose, Sr. He was united in marriage on April 13, 1944 in Fort Worth, TX to Jo Gage.
Frank served his country proudly in the United States Air Force retiring as a Colonel in 1972 after 30 years of service.
Frank is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jo Rose; one son, Richard Rose and wife Kathleen of Norman; one daughter, Susan Knight and husband Gary of Norman; five grandchildren, William Rose, Robert Rose, Frank Smith, Samuel Knight and Christopher Knight. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jack Rose and one sister, Frances Redkey.
Military Honors will be held graveside at 10:00 A.M., Friday, October 8, 2010 at Ft. Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, OK.
