Danny McCall

July 22, 1949 ~ October 20, 2020

Danny William McCall was born 22 July 1949 to Hubert Hunter McCall and Doris Aline (Perdue) McCall, at 706 Franklin St, Thorntown, Indiana. He spent his youth roaming the fields and wood around Thorntown, hunting, fishing and trapping with his friends. He graduated from Thorntown High School in 1967. He joined the U.S. Army in 1968. He received basic combat training and advanced individual training at Ft. Knox Kentucky. He was then assigned to the 7th Division Artillery in the Republic of Korea. He was later assigned to the 5th Corps (V Corps) Artillery in Germany. He was honorable discharged in 1972. His awards were the National Defense Medal, Korean Defense Medal and Armed Forces Exploratory Medal.
Danny came to Lawton, Oklahoma in 1974 where he worked various construction jobs. He went to work for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. and worked there for twenty-nine years. He married Naomi Mae Fleeman in 1979 in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Danny is preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Mae Fleeman who passed away on December 21, 2004. He is survived by one son, David and his wife Sharla; two grandsons, Kyle and Briar; sister, Linda of Indianapolis, Indiana.
