Tony Lopez

Tony Lopez, age 69, of Lawton passed away February 11, 2018 at his residence.
Tony was born to Minnie Ella Scott and Claude Pickens Jr. on March 21, 1948 in Los Angeles, CA. As a young man Tony was named The Marble King of California, was the first black man to swim at DoDo Park in 1969, and was honored with the task of lifeguarding during the 1984 Olympic Games as well as for Los Angeles County. He was proud to say that he had the pleasure of cutting and styling many celebrities hair. He enjoyed being a beautician, listening to music, watching movies, and spending time with his family.
Tony is preceded in death by his mother Minnie Ella Scott, two sisters Betty Ann Davis, and Lynette Brown, great grandmother Minnie Ella Lee Scott, great grandfather Will Henery Scott and Mattie Scott. Tony is survived by Sharon M. Netter-Lopez and was a loving father to Shelly(Freddie) Lopez-Bynum of Lawton, Tony(Karren) Lopez of Phoenix, AZ, Erik Lopez of California, Tyree(Mariam) Lopez of Kansas, Tymanche(Kendra) Lopez of Tulsa, Michael Lopez and Mira Scott of California, Angel Paul of Lawton, Jade(Darrell) Williams of Texas, Tommy(Richetta) Harrel of California, Pete(Cynthia) Harrel of California and Steve Harrel of California. He had 12 brothers and sisters, was proud to call himself grandfather to 27 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
