Carolyn Ann Jones

December 7, 1942 ~ August 4, 2020

Carolyn Jones, age 77, of Lawton passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at her residence.
Carolyn was born on Monday, December 7, 1942 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to John Chandley and Ruth (Robinson) Chandley. She received her high school diploma from Douglas High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1955. She was the oldest child born to John and Ruth Chandley with seven brothers and sisters that followed. In 1960 Carolyn married her husband Leo Jones. They raised four beautiful children, Leon, Cleon, Carolyn, and Leo Jr. Carolyn loved cooking her red beans and cornbread for her family. She also enjoyed fishing, cooking, dancing, but most of all she loved taking care of her family.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her father John Chandley; mother Ruth (Robinson) Chandley; grandmother Rachel Robinson; brother James Chandley; husband Leo Jones. Carolyn is survived by her sibling's Gwendolyn Amey, Cheryl Portia Boyd, Beverly Campbell, Don Campbell, Jackie Campbell, and Shari Campbell. She is also survived by her four children Leon (Tanya), Cleon (Kendra), Carolyn, and Leo Jr. Carolyn was blessed to have thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren, Leon Jr (Jasmine), Tamara, Jasari, Deon, Deondre, Cleon Jones Jr., Dante, Heather, Bryan (Amy), Laquetta (Kelly), Terron (Kim), Francina, Kaneitha, Leon III, Liliana, Leloni, Zachary, Zane, Zayden, Tessa, Mila, Kelly Jr. (Trista), Xavier, Darius, Terron III (Taneisha), Marquis, and Stephan. Carolyn is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family would like to thank all the staff at the Willow Park Nursing Home for taking care of their mother when they could not. Also thank you to Jessica from Centric Hospice Care for being with our mother as she took her final breath.
