Harold Clifford Jackson

November 10, 1931 ~ February 23, 2017

Harold Clifford Jackson, of Duncan, Oklahoma was born November 10, 1931, in DeValls Bluff, Arkansas, to Vernon and Leona Hall Jackson. He passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2017, at the age of 85.
Viewing will start on Sunday, February 26, from 1:00 to 8:00 P.M. Family visitation is scheduled for Monday, February 27, from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. at Whitt Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, February 28, at 10:00 A.M. at Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Griffin officiating. Burial will be at 1:00 P.M. at the Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin. Arrangements are entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.
Harold graduated from DeValls Bluff High School in 1951. He joined the US Air Force in September 1952, serving until 1995 when he retired from the Air Force and Air National Guard. He married Loretta Dixson on March 8, 1956, in Oklahoma City. They had one daughter, Nena.
He was employed as an air traffic controller specialist with the Civil Service for 30 years. His favorite pastimes were fishing and gardening.
He is survived by his wife of almost 61 years, Loretta; his daughter, Nena and husband Dennis Bruton of Murphy, Texas; his grandchildren, Joshua Bruton of Plano Texas and Whitney Bruton of Santa Barbara, California; his great-grandchild, Jackson Bruton; his brothers, Carthel and wife Ida Jackson, Charles Jackson, Melvin and wife Peggy Jackson, and Owen Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Genevieve Parks, and his brothers, Arvil Jackson and Herbert Jackson.
Memorial contributions may be made in Harold's name to the local V.F.W.
