Marie Harmening

May 27, 1932 ~ November 5, 2011

Marie Harmening was born on May 27, 1932, in Fayetteville, Tennessee to J.W. and Lizzie (Gatlin) Bevels. She died at her home in Lawton with her family at her side on November 5, 2011. She was 79. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 7, 2011, at Ft Sill National Cemetery with Chaplain Leonard Reimer of Promise Care Hospice, officiating.
Mrs. Harmening was raised and attended school in Tennessee. She married Donald Ted Harmening on May 6, 1954, in Iuka, MS and spent the following 25 years as a devoted Army wife and loving mother. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Joe Bevels.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Donald Ted Harmening; 2 daughters, Cheryl Harmening of Lawton and Pam Harmening of Dallas, TX; and a sister, Dorthy Partin of Birmingham, AL.
