Donald "Ted" Harmening

September 21, 1932 ~ April 27, 2022

Donald "Ted" Harmening, age 89, of Lawton passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at his residence.
Ted was born on September 21, 1932, in Flintville, Tennessee to William and Nora (Myrick) Harmening. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country for over twenty-nine years before retiring as Command Sargeant Major (CSM). While in the Army, he received numerous awards medals and commendations. Ted later worked as a dispatcher for the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. He married the love of his life, Marie, on May 6, 1954, in Mississippi. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Preceded in death by his wife Marie and one daughter, Pamela Harmening, Ted is survived by his eldest daughter, Cheryl Harmening of Lawton.
