David Goldsberry, 58, was born March 6, 1955 in Rocky Ford, CO. He passed away May 8, 2013. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and later retired from Tinker Air Force Base after 34 years of employment as production controller. David enjoyed going to the gun range, doing yard work, and was talented with woodworking and cabinetry. He was blessed to have traveled many places and loved photography; such as taking pictures of nature, animals, people, and buildings. He was a wonderful cook, Indian Tacos being one of his specialties and his love for helping others led him to be a tutor for children at Sky Ranch Elementary. David loved his family dearly, including his 3 special "girls" his dogs Dharma, Emma, and Addison. David was preceded in death by his parents Delbert and Virginia Lawyer. David leaves cherished memories with his wife of 16 years Janis Kaye (Ruppert) Goldsberry; brothers John Lawyer of Arizona, Skip and Linda Gustafson of Cloquet, Minnesota, Robert Goldsberry of Denver, Colorado; sisters Ruth Lawyer of Norman, Sharon and husband Jack VanEvery of Norman, and Mary and husband Hugh Adrian of Tacoma, Washington; as well as many nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Visitation will be 9am-8pm Saturday, May 11, 2013 and 1pm-8pm Sunday, May 12, 2013 with the family receiving friends that afternoon from 2-4pm. Services to celebrate David's life will be held 10am Monday at the Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, OK.
