Jerry Getts

March 12, 1957 - April 12, 2017

Jerry Lee Getts, age 60, of Lawton passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Comanche County Memorial Hospital.
Jerry was born on March 12, 1957 in Belding, Michigan to Ronald and Viola (Brandow) Getts. He enlisted in the United States Army in January of 1976 and proudly served his country for twenty years before retiring in January of 1996. While in the Army, Jerry received numerous medals, awards and commendations and served as Forward Observer for General Tommy Franks. He later became a licensed Real Estate Agent in the states of Michigan, Minnesota and Oklahoma.
Preceded in death by his father, Ronald Getts, Jerry is survived by his wife, Darlene Getts of the home; his mother, Viola Getts of Lawton; two brothers, Edward Getts and Gene Getts; three sisters, Ruth Getts, Donna Getts and Peggy Getts along with numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
