Marlene Veronica Dusold

Marlene Veronica (Langner) Dusold, 82, of Newcastle, passed away on August 22, 2023, in her home. The daughter of Clemens Lawrence Langner and Elizabeth Salone (Woidyla) Langner, Marlene was born on May 31, 1941, in Holdingford, Minnesota.
Marlene grew up in Holdingford, Minnesota, and graduated from high school there. She entered the United States Air Force right after graduation and served as a medical services specialist as a nurse practical. She met Charles Richard Dusold while in the Air Force and they were married in the Base Chapel at McGuire Air Force Base, N.J on March 4, 1961. They remained married for 50 years until his death on August 7, 2011. Marlene and Charles travelled and moved all over the nation and abroad as Charles made the Air Force his career.
Marlene worked in banking for the most part of her working life. She was an operations officer and supervisor on the corporate level, often working nights. She also enjoyed a job she had where she reviewed movies. Her kids thought this was a great job, as they got to see many movies as a benefit of this position. Marlene enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, and playing Around the World in 80 days on the computer. She also enjoyed going to the casino occasionally. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Marlene is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Richard Dusold; son, Charles Richard Dusold, Jr.; and brother, Jerry Langner.
She is survived by her daughter (and caretaker for the last several years,) Sarah Charmagne Dusold-Jamieson of Newcastle; sons, Marc Clemens Dusold of Ingleside, TX and Gary Paul Dusold and wife Tish of Tuttle; two grandchildren, Shane Dusold and wife Morgan and Shelbie Dusold; four great grandchildren, Kinzlee, Scarlette, Teegan, and Marshall; two brothers, Russell Langner and wife Wendy of Sandy, Utah and LeRoy Langner and wife Diane of Holdingford, Minnesota; and sister-in-law, Diana Langner of Los Alamos, New Mexico.
Private funeral services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Ft. Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
