Ruthie Mae Doddles

August 18, 1931 - December 02, 2017

Ruthie Mae Doddles, age 86, of Lawton passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Southwestern Medical Center in Lawton.
Ruthie was born on August 18, 1931 in Mangum, Oklahoma to Bert and Willie Mae (Jackson) Thompson. She enjoyed reading her Bible daily. Talking with her sister, children, grandchildren several times a day until we started calling too many times. She enjoyed talking on the phone with some of the church members, but most of all, she loved watching Judge Judy, so much so, that you had better not call her between 4:00 and 5:00 PM. She attended Dunbar and Douglas in Lawton, OK. Received CNA Certificate at Great Plain Technolgy. She was involved in the WMU Ministry, Parrish Fellowship Committee and Birthday Ministry.
Preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Willie Mae Thompson; her spouse, Eunoris Doddles; her children, Rosie Wynne, Gaynell Ford and Henry Rhodes, Jr. and four grandchildren, Ruthie is survived by three children, Barbara (Thomas) West of Fort Smith, Ark., Ruthie Stormer of Texas City, Texas and Stevie (Pamela) Rhodes of Richmond, VA.; step daughter Veasey Doddles of OKC, OK. 18 Grandchildren; 35 great-great Grandchildren; 8 great-great-great grandchildren; sister Inez Brown of Lawton, OK.; sister-in-law Jessie Dunford of Compton, CA.; daughter-in-law Wanda Rhodes; aunts Palmer Faye King of OKC, OK and Viola Jean Crawford of Lawton, OK.; special nieces, Irma Houston of Norman, OK., Sharon Bennett of Grand Prairie, TX. and Janice Hyman of Copperas Cove, TX.; several nieces and nephews, two God daughters, Betty Pharr of Washington, DC and Christine Thomas of Las Vegas, NV. Along with numerous other relatives and close friends.
