Reva Lorraine Divine
April 27, 1931 ~ May 8, 2015
Reva Lorraine Divine, 84, of Norman passed away in Norman, OK on May 8, 2015. Reva was born on April 27, 1931, in Nowata, OK, to Gordie Hobert Reeder and Wilma Violet (Haley) Reeder and attended school in Nowata. On July 6, 1951 she married Richard Lee Divine in Bartlesville, OK. Richard was in the Army and they began their lives together in Germany. Their daughter, Connie, was born in Regensburg, Germany in 1953 and their daughter, Janice, was born in Fort Belvoir, Virginia in 1956.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Even though she had not met her great-granddaughter, Charlie, she proudly showed her pictures to everyone. As a military wife, she traveled with Richard to Virginia, Georgia, Panama Canal Zone, Fort Hood, Texas and Fort Lewis, Washington. While Richard was on assignment to Korea and Vietnam, Reva managed the home and raised their two daughters. After they retired from the Army, they moved to Teheran, Iran while Richard was employed with Bell Helicopter. In 1979 they bought their first home in Norman.
She took advantage of living overseas traveling to Israel, Italy, Spain, Turkey, France, England, Brussels and the Netherlands. She enjoyed friendships all over the world. She enjoyed her church and her weekly bible study group and was known for her great hugs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, half-sisters, Agnes Frein and Gladys Collier, and brother, Hobert Eugene Reeder.
She is survived by, Richard, her husband of almost 64 years; her daughter, Connie Lea Divine and her husband, Raymond Psikal of Norman; daughter, Janice Lorraine McGill, and her husband, Roger McGill, of Marble Falls, Texas. Six grandchildren: Riley Lee Dallas, and wife Sarah of Austin, Texas; Justin Loyd Dallas, and his wife, Carrie, and their daughter, Charlie Lorraine Dallas, of Pflugerville, Texas; Chelsea Minks, and husband, Hunter, of Hangzhou, China; Christopher Robert Dietze of Belton, Texas; Scott Ryan Dietze of Marble Falls, Texas; James Alexander McGill, of San Marcos, Texas; nephews, Gary Sutton, of Bartlesville, OK; Tandy Reeder and Tracy Reeder, of Claremore, OK.
