William "Bill" Marion Davis, Jr.

May 19, 1947 - January 4, 2025

William Marion "Bill" Davis, Jr., 77, of Blanchard, Oklahoma passed away on January 4, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.
Bill was born to William Marion Davis, Sr. and Norma Maxine (Mitchem) Davis on May 19, 1947, in Grove, Oklahoma. Bill was the fifth born of eight children. Norma raised her children and sacrificially loved and cared for them until her death when Bill was ten years old. He went to live in the Charles Page Home in Sand Springs with his siblings, where he graduated from Sand Springs High School.
Bill entered the United States Navy in 1968 where he worked as a radar technician on ships. Bill was a proud Vietnam Veteran. He received a National Defense Service Medal, a Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Star, a Navy Unit Commendation, a Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and two Good Conduct Medals. Bill also served in the Secret Service for four years under Presidents Ford and Carter. Following his service, he earned a degree in Electrical Engineering. Utilizing the skills learned in the Navy he worked for Raytheon repairing radar on ships for foreign government contracts. Bill's work ethic and expertise earned him a reputation and soon he had leaders from all over the world requesting his services. He also worked as a government contractor at Fort Sill, Oklahoma specializing in maintaining missile systems.
Bill lived in rural southwest Oklahoma for many years and loved farm life. He would spend hours on his tractor and considered that his time to reflect and talk to God. He loved country and western dancing which was also where he met the love of his life, Debby. Due to health reasons, he retired and moved to Blanchard for his remaining years.
He had a heart for serving and loved being able to pick up donations from Spencer’s Grocery Store and deliver them to the Senior Citizens Center. Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and mentor.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, William Marion Davis, III; sisters, Carol Davis and Sharon Hyde; brothers, Stanley Davis and Ron Davis.
He is survived by his loving wife, Debra Lynn Davis of the home; sons, Jason Leroy Davis and wife Shawn and Roderick Neal Davis; daughter, Norma Dee; step children, BJ Shuman and wife Jenni, Jimmy Shuman and wife Christy, and Kristy Yarbrough and husband Chris; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; three sisters, Emilie Robertson, Joanna De Los Santos, Glenda Prince; and many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
A Memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Wildwood Community Church, Norman, OK . Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
