Bob Dahl

Robert Lewis "Bob" Dahl, 86, of Yukon, formerly of Blanchard, died, Friday, July 26, 2019, at his home. The son of Lars Dahl and Esther Elizabeth (Snyder) Dahl, he was born November 8, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois.
Bob was a veteran of the United Sates Army and served during the Korean Conflict where he was awarded the Purple Heart. He was proud to have served his country and he never ran from the enemy. He married Esther Elaine Draper on April 27, 1990, in Arizona. Bob worked as a police officer and retired after 25 years of service. He was a former member of Blanchard First Baptist Church and was currently a member of Town and Country Christian Church in Yukon. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Robert Lewis Dahl, Jr.; one stepdaughter, Nancy Isbell; and one sister, Nancy Gammino.
Bob is survived by his wife, Elaine Dahl of Yukon; one daughter, Nancy Dahl of Nevada; three sons, Lars Dahl and wife, Sarah, of Virginia, Ed Dahl and wife, Kelly, of Michigan, and Nels Dahl and wife, Lana, of Illinois; two stepdaughters, Linda Helphrey and husband, John, of Yukon, and Patricia McEwen and husband, Patrick, of Tennessee; two stepsons, Richard Moore and wife, Dana, of Arkansas, and Jeremy Moore of Oklahoma City; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home in Blanchard. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at Town and Country Christian Church in Yukon. Burial with military honors will follow at 2:00 PM at the Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin. Memorial donations may be made in Bob's name to the Town and Country Christian Church Building Fund, 2200 Cornwell Drive, Yukon, OK 73099.
