Paula JoAnn Cartwright

1943 - 2015

Paula "JoAnn" Hackett Cartwright, 71, went to be with her Heavenly Father on April 9, 2015. She was born October 17, 1943 to James Orlando Hackett and Paula M. Thuransky Hackett in Florham Park, New Jersey. She was baptized and confirmed Catholic at the Holy Family parish in Florham Park. In 1965 she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oklahoma, and worked as a medical technologist. On June 25, 1966, she married Gary Wayne Cartwright. She was active in her parishes, most recently belonging to St. Benedict Catholic Church in Shawnee. Her hobbies included reading and gardening. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three children, Amy (Timothy) Cantwell, Adam Cartwright (Katherine), and Allison (Justin) Barnes; 4 grandchildren, Timothy and Ethan Cantwell, Connor Barnes, and Nadia Cartwright; a sister, Patricia Lemon and other family and friends. There will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 14th at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 632 N. Kickapoo Ave., Shawnee, OK with burial to at 2:00PM at Ft. Sill National Cemetery.
