Letriece Pearl Carlton

December 27, 1927 - November 01, 2019

Letriece (Lady) Pearl (Roberson) Carlton, age 91 of Lexington, passed away Friday, November 01, 2019. Letriece was born on December 27, 1927 in Lawton, OK, the oldest of 3 children born to Dewey Erskin (Harry) Roberson and Audra Mae (Richardson) Roberson. Letriece grew up east of Lawton in the Bethel Community and attended Central High School. She married Damon Eldon Carlton on March 11, 1948. Together they raised five children; Damon (Sonny), James, Kevin, Michael (Mike) and Patrice. Damon and Letriece were married 66 years before Damon's passing in 2014. Letriece was a military wife, moving the family many times during Damon's military career of 22 1/2 years. Letriece enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, quilting and bowling. She also attended her children's and grandchildren's sporting events. Letriece was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
Letriece was preceded in death by:
Her husband, Damon Carlton;
Parents, Dewey and Audra Roberson;
Brothers, Harry (Blondie) Roberson and Charles (Ink) Roberson;
Daughter-in-law, Virginia (Ginger) Carlton and
Granddaughter, Sherry Cole.
Survivors include:
Her Sons, Damon Carlton of Goldsby, James Carlton and Frannie of Yukon, Kevin Carlton and Vicki of McAlester, Michael Carlton and Reba of Chickasha and
Daughter, Patrice Ashley and Kim of Lexington;
Sister-in-laws, Hattie Jo Hisey and Jim of Fair Oaks, CA and Novella Roberson of Duncan;
Grandchildren, Damon James Carlton and Cindy of Goldsby, Jacob Carlton Colorado Springs, CO, Tracy Delahay and Dan of Edmond, Joshua Carlton and Danee of Sierra Vista, AZ, Heather Houser and Adam of Beggs, OK and Julie Sweeten of Chickasha;
Great grandchildren include Avery, Henry, Lucy, Addison, Brennan, Lucas, Nathan, Daniel and wife Emily, Benjamin and wife Brittney, Chad and wife Marysa, Brandon and wife Kailey, Nicky, Kayla and husband Tyler, Kodee and wife Sierra and Zoey;
Great Great grandchildren, Aubrey, Alayna, Landon, Hunter, Logan, Braxton, Brooklyn, Bradley Michael, Carter, Alora, Rochell, Gracie, Preston, Keston, Riley Jean, Letty Dawn, Elle Marie and Bentley;
Many nieces, nephews and cousins and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at the First Baptist Church in Washington. Letriece will be buried at the National Cemetery in Elgin, OK, alongside of Damon.
