Betty Byrd

August 11, 1948 - March 14, 2019

Betty Jean Byrd was born August 11, 1948 in Walters, Oklahoma to William and Lucille Harper. She married John A. Byrd on December 6, 1989 in Lawton, Oklahoma. They lived in Oklahoma and Georgia then returned to Duncan, Oklahoma, until their passing.
Betty Byrd past away Thursday March 14, 2019 at Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma. A private burial will be at Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma.
Betty is preceded in death by her father, William M. Harper and her mother, Lucille G. Harper (Barnett); her husband John A. Byrd; two sisters, Dorothy June Wood and Billie D. Daniels. She is survived by her brother, George M. Harper and his wife Carolyn of Moore, Oklahoma; her brother in law, Charles Wood Sr. of Duncan; Retta Sammie of Davis, Tx; Charlie M. Wood and his wife Jenni of Duncan, OK; James M. Harper of Moore, Ok; Carman J. Wood of Duncan, Ok; Sidney R. Wood of Duncan, OK and many friends and neighbors.
Memorial contributions can be made in Betty's name to: Chickasaw Nation Senior Center, 1909 W. Plato, Duncan, Oklahoma 73533
