Betty J. [Montanez] Keller Williams

Memorial service for Betty J. Williams, 80, Lawton, will be at noon Friday at Whinery-Huddleston Chapel with Pastor Randy Shorter officiating.

She passed away at her home Monday, Aug. 28, 2013, with family members at her side.

Betty was born Jan. 19, 1933, in Lawton to Gertrude and Joe Montanez.

She attended the local schools in Lawton.

She met John Keller in 1948; he died in 1970. In 1974, she met and married Ottie Williams; he died in 2007.

Betty was an all-around great wife, mother, and friend. She always kept the house clean and made sure her family was well-fed and had clean clothes.

She loved reading, especially mystery novels; she also enjoyed an occasional movie.

She loved and was equally loved in return by her black and white shih Tzu (Lou) whom she rescued from the pound.

She was preceded in death by both husbands, John E. Keller and Ottie N. Williams; son, Michael Ray Keller; both parents, Joe and Gertrude Montanez; three brothers, Alvie Montanez, Bobby Montanez, and Toney Montanez; and three sisters, Estell Sample, Alice Matthews, and Virginia Pratt.

She is survived by her three sons, Gary D. Keller of Lawton, Ricky J. Keller and his wife Rene of Lawton, and David L. Keller and his wife, Stephanie of Lawton; two daughters, Pamela D. Keller-Rainey of Corinth, Texas, and Camela M. Hoffman of the home. She also has 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, and many caring and loving family members, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
