© Lawton Constitution Lawton, Oklahoma Wednesday, February 2, 2011 Horatio " Rosco" L. Urioste Sr Graveside service for Horatio " Rosco" L. Urioste Sr., 82, Lawton, will be at 2 p.m Friday at Flower Mound Cemetery, east of Lawton, with the Rev. Lloyd Grubbs, pastor, Trinity Assembly of God, officiating. Mr. Urioste died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at his home in Lawton. Arrangements are under direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home. Horatio "Rosco" L. Urioste Sr. was born March 23, 1928, in Elmer, to Jose J. and Domitilia Lucero Urioste. He grew up in Lawton where he attended local schools. He married Lavon Hill on Oct. 3, 1950, in Lawton. She died Nov. 13, 1977. He worked as a diesel mechanic for various concrete companies, including Atlas Tuck Concrete. He is survived by his children and their spouses: Horatio L. Urioste Jr. and his wife, Robin, Wichita Falls, Texas; Julia M. Carroll and her husband, Richard, and Maudie Jennings and her husband, Mike, all of Lawton; his grandchildren and their spouses: Samuel Urioste and his wife, Michelle, Burkburnett, Texas; Joseph Urioste and Adam Urioste, both of Wichita Falls, Texas; Richard Carroll Jr., Elk City; Candace Shinkle and her husband, Ryan, Fort Benning, Ga.; Brian Held, Christopher Held, Rhiannon Held, and Alexander Blass, all of Lawton; and eight great-grandchildren. Mr. Urioste was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lavon; his brother; his sister; and a granddaughter. Viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. |
