John C. "Korky" Ketchum

Funeral service for John C. "Korky" Ketchum, 50, Lawton, will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2014, in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Al Potts officiating.

Korky died Thursday, July 24, 2014, at his residence.

Private family burial be in the Flower Mound Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 27, from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

Korky was born October 18, 1963 in Lawton to Clarence T. "John" Ketchum and Marilyn Earlene Corwin.

He grew up in Lawton and was a 1981 graduate of Lawton High School where he played baseball.

He married Rachel Aller on April 26, 1991 in Lawton.

He had worked as a hydraulic equipment specialist for 30 years with his father at John Ketchum Supply. He later worked for the City of Lawton Traffic Division. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed all sports and played softball for many years and also helped coach his children's sports. He also enjoyed fishing and was a weather enthusiast.

He is survived by his wife, Rachel; three children, Kristin Ketchum, Kyle Ketchum and wife Brianna, and Kaitlin Ketchum, all of Lawton; two grandsons, Mason and Kaiden; his mother, Earlene Hulley, Lawton; two sisters, Kim Copeland and husband Boone and Deynna Appler, all of Lawton; several nieces and nephews.

His father, John Ketchum, and his step father, Bob Hulley, preceded him in death.
