© Lawton Constitution Lawton, Oklahoma Friday, May 15, 2009 Bertha "Beth" Chambers Kennedy GERONIMO--Funeral for Bertha "Beth" Kennedy, 46, Geronimo, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Robert Bohn, pastor, Deyo Mission Baptist Church, west of Lawton, officiating. Mrs. Kennedy died Tuesday, May, 12, 2009, at her home. Burial will be in Flower Mound Cemetery. She was born Nov. 2, 1962, in Lawton, to Jimmy and Melba Chambers. She attended Lawton High School and the New Salem Missionary Baptist Church. She married Alton Kennedy on Nov.12, 1980, in Lawton. She was a homemaker and a housekeeping supervisor. She volunteered for hospice and volunteered as a case worker for Adjudicated Child Welfare. Survivors include her husband of the home; two sons: Christopher Kennedy, Lawton; and Derick Kennedy, Gulfport, Miss.; a grandson, John Wallace Kennedy, Lawton; five brothers: Jerry, Joe, James, Johnny and Jerrell Chambers; two sisters: Donna Chambers and Rosie Bowlen; and many cousins, uncles, aunts and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. |
