© Crews Funeral Home Apache, Caddo CO, Oklahoma Wednesday, August 29, 2012 December 11, 2013 Ronald Keith Long of Lawton, OK was born December 16, 1946 in Chickasha, OK to Robert Keith and Mildred Cherry Long. He passed away December 11, 2013 east of Altus, OK at the age of 66. After graduating from high school, Ron went to Oklahoma State University where he earned his Master's in Agriculture Education. He taught Agriculture at Eisenhower High School in Lawton for many years before retiring to become an entrepreneur. He worked as an auctioneer and a real estate broker. He owned Cherry's Furniture in Fletcher, OK until his death. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Fletcher. He belonged to the Lion's Club and OVATA (Oklahoma Vocational and Agricultural Teachers Association). He farmed and raised cattle and enjoyed going to livestock shows and hog shows. Ron also enjoyed tinkering with things and fixing items for people. Ron is survived by: His sister-Kathy Price of Ulysses, KS. Two nephews and their wives-Charlie and Amber Price and their daughter, Avery of Edmond, OK Tod and Heather Price of Tulsa, OK. He was preceded in death by: His parents, 2 brothers-in-law-Tony Brown and Randy Price. A service celebrating his life will be held Saturday, December 14, at 11:00 A.M. in the Crews Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jim Hall officiating. A private family burial will be held at the Fletcher Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Crews Funeral Home of Apache. |
