John Jacobson

Funeral For John Jacobson Was Thursday

Services for John Jacobson, 87, of Cyril were held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the First Christian Church of Cyril with the Rev. Stanley Padgett, pastor of the Peace Lutheran Church of Cyril, and the Rev. Terry Daniels, pastor of the Christian Church, officiating.

Jacobson died Tuesday in the Cyril Nursing Home.

He was born April 1, 1891 in Norway and married the former Amelia Zisman Dec. 13, 1938 in Phoenix, Ariz. He moved to Cyril 20 years ago and was a member of a Lutheran Church. He was disabled veteran of World War I.

Survivors include his wife of the home, and three daughters, Dorothy Moser and Hester Laging, both of Cyril, and Lorene Meeker of California.

Burial was in the Fletcher Cemetery under direction of the Cyril Funeral Home.

Military rites were held. Honorary casket bearers were: Elwood Moser, Joe Goucher, Delmer Bilyeu, Frank Moser and Harry Claypool.
