© Hodge Funeral Home Fletcher, Oklahoma 12 February 2005 Irene [Butler] Higdon FLETCHER-Funeral for Irene Butler Higdon, 86, will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Fletcher First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Mahaffey, pastor, officiating. Mrs. Higdon died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005 at her home, northeast of Fletcher. Burial will be in Fletcher Cemetery under direction of Hodge Funeral Home, Fletcher. She was born April 11, 1918 to Frank W. Butler and Minnie Lou Coggin Butler on the Butler Farm south of Cyril. She attended Indian Hill School then graduated from Fletcher High School in 1936. She married Henry Martin Higdon, Jan. 10, 1939 at Shannon Springs Park in Chickasha. They resided on their farm north east of Fletcher she and her husband were partners in their farming operation. He died July 28, 1998. Survivors include a daughter, Katy Lou Hardzog and her husband, C.C. Elgin; a son Isaac W. Higdon and his wife, Lilla, Fletcher; four grandchildren and their spouses; Cindy Hardzog Landers and Keith, Elgin; Shane Brett Hardzog and Terri, Elgin; Amy Higdon Grace and Jack, Ringling; and Keely Irene Higdon, Yukon; five great-grandchildren: Chelsey and Jessica Siebold, Lakin and Tres Hardzog, and Jackson Zane Grace; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Butler, and special nephew, James Henry Liles. She was preceded in death by her parents; twin brother, Eugene Butler; and a grandson, Keeton Wade Seibold. Memorial contributions may be made in Irene's name to First United Methodist Church, P.O.
