The Cyril Weekly News Cyril, Oklahoma Thursday, July 11, 1963 Thomas Bailey Culp Bailey Culp's Funeral Held Service was held at the First Christian Church in Cyril Tuesday for Thomas Bailey Culp, 75, who died Sunday afternoon in an Anadarko nursing home. Culp had lived in the Cyril ~ Cement area since 1915, coming here from the Lawton area. He was born Oct. 17, 1888, at Albany, Mo., and moved to Indian Territory near Rush Springs in 1901. The Rev. Ashley Lovett officiated at the funeral. Burial by Cyril Funeral Home was in Fletcher Cemetery. Culp married Dena Zisman on Aug. 18, 1915, at Chickasha, and the couple farmed in this area since that time. Survivors other than the widow are a daughter, Mrs. Harry Glenn of Nashville, Tenn., a brother, Preston Culp of Kingston, Okla., and two sisters, Mrs. Susie Williams of Fletcher and Mrs. Joe Janousek of Cyril. A granddaughter also survives. |
The Cyril Weekly News Cyril, Oklahoma Thursday, April 17, 1986 Dena [Zisman] Culp Services for Dena Zisman Culp, 91, of Cyril were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 1986 in Cyril First Christian Church with the Rev. Jack Smith, pastor, officiating. She was born October 8, 1894 in Orlando, Okla. and died Monday, April 14, 1986 in a Lawton Hospital. She moved to Fletcher as a small child and had lived in Cyril the last 22 years. She married Bailey Culp, August 12, 1912 in Chickasha. He died July 9, 1963. Survivors include a daughter, Minnie Payne Glenn, Lawton; three sisters; Emma Mathis, Cyril; Minnie Griffin, Duncan; Julia Claypool, Fletcher; a granddaughter Geraldine Ellis, Lawton; three great grandsons. Burial was in the Fletcher Cemetery under direction of Robbins Funeral Home, Fletcher. |
