Harley Ray Sadler

April 2, 1952 - June 7, 2018

Harley Sadler, 66 year old Mooreland resident passed from this life on June 7, 2018 at his home with his wife at his side. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, June 11, 2018 in the Mooreland First Baptist Church with the Reverend David Houchin officiating. Interment will be held in the Fletcher Cemetery in Fletcher, Oklahoma on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Harley Ray Sadler was born on April 2, 1952 in Comanche, Oklahoma the son of Thomas Alva and Virgie Lee (Tipton) Sadler. Harley graduated from Grandfield High School in Grandfield, Oklahoma. He then enrolled in Cameron University. He was united in marriage to Marva L. Brown on April 14, 1973 at the Holy City Chapel in the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge, the couple made their home in Lawton. Harley worked for TG&Y for six years, followed by the next 19 years as a store manager for Wal-Mart. The couple also lived in Chickasha, Altus, Carnegie, Seminole, Yukon, Cushing, and Woodward. After he retired from Wal-Mart, he later worked for Taylor & Associates in Woodward.
Harley enjoyed fishing, bird hunting with his dogs, especially Jesse his favorite. He was proud of his Angus cattle he raised on his ranch. He loved being outdoors and spending time with his family. Harley had a great love for the Lord.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mooreland, where he was a Deacon and trustee, and a member of the Mission Builders and Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief Team.
Harley is survived by his wife Marva of the home; son Wade Sadler and wife Alicia of Portland, Oregon; daughters, Amy Barrick and husband Brian of Fletcher; Lori Kilgore and husband Ronnie of Cedarville, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Kala Barrick; Hannah Barrick; Ayden Kilgore; Genevieve True; and West Sadler; other family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Mooreland with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
