© Whinery~Huddleston Funeral Service Lawton, Oklahoma September 27, 2015 Marie Lynn [Herren] Sicking, Birth date: September 9, 1951 Death date: February 9, 2015 Marie Lynn Sicking, Faxon, was born September 9, 1951 in Quincy, Illinois to Arthur and Virginia [Cline] Herren. She died peacefully at her home on February 9, 2015 at the age of 63. Marie was raised on a farm in Adams County, IL, where she attended Golden High School. She worked for several years for construction companies as the office manager in Ft. Sill. She also worked for several years at Dr. Hannah's office in Lawton. Marie was a significant part in establishing she and her husband Wayne's farming operation, known as the Skytalker Ranch. She enjoyed writing and wrote articles about farm life; her articles were published in the Oklahoma Cattleman's Magazine. She also enjoyed playing the guitar, singing, and playing the piano. One of her favorite pastimes was spending time with her husband traveling and hiking. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Virginia Herren; brothers, Larry Herren and Dale Herren. Survivors include her husband, Wayne, of the home; her son, Matthew Mason of Lawton; her brother, Roger Herren and wife Shirley of the Peoria, IL area Service: 2:00 pm on Monday, February 16, 2015 at Whinery-Huddleston Chapel 6210 NW Cache Road Lawton Oklahoma 73505 Memorial Service at Whinery-Huddleston Chapel. |
