COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. ~ Funeral for former Lawton resident Lois Ann Smoot Page, 74, Colonial Heights, Va., will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Page died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002, in Petersburg, Va. Burial will be in Faxon Cemetery.
She was born Dec. 1, 1927, in Faxon, to Notley and Berdie Glasgow Smoot. She graduated as valedictorian from Faxon High School in 1946. She received an associate degree from Cameron College in Lawton. She retired from civil service after 44 years. She worked in the directorate of logistics at Fort Sill, and in Presidio, Calif. She was also a supply systems analyst with the Army Combined Center at Fort Lee, Va., and traveled to Europe, Korea, Japan and Hawaii. She was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and for a crisis hot line. She was a member of the Lawton Order of Eastern Star Chapter 82, and attended People,s Baptist Church, Lawton.
Survivors include her son, Larry Campbell, Colonial Heights; a daughter, Jennifer Martin, Colonial Heights; two granddaughters: Nicole Harrison and Tara Tregilgus, both of Colonial Heights; two great-grandchildren: Skyler and Cody Harrison, both of Colonial Heights; four sisters: Jewell Fisher, Austin; Jean Temple Kidd, Lawton; Joyce Byrd, Ardmore; and Rita Runnels Swick, Lawton; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy; and a son, Ricky.
