J.D. Stockton

January 29, 1935 - December 12, 2017

Jesse Damon "J.D." Stockton, 82, passed away on December 12th, 2017 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas.
He was born on January 29, 1935 in Sentinel, Oklahoma to Dwain D. and Stella (Abston) Stockton. He grew up in Sentinel and graduated from Sentinel High School. He moved to the Newcastle/Blanchard area in 1972. He was married to JoBerta Garrison and to this union were born Damona, Debbie and Mike. He later married Libby Mahsetky in 1970 and gained a daughter, Dawn. He also adopted a daughter, Rebecca Stockton, and son, Brad Stockton. Damon was a salesman who started his career with Kraft Foods. He also owned and operated the Dairy Barn in Newcastle for many years. He enjoyed riding horses and was President of the Newcastle riding Club. He was a big OU fan and loved to attend games.
He was preceded in life by his parents, his brother, Randall, and his wife, Libby Mashetky Stockton.
J.D. is survived by his children, Damona Bowerman and husband, Carey, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Debbie Castle of Dallas, Texas, Mike Stockton of Denver, Colorado, Dawn Arneecher of Blanchard, Rebecca Stockton of Oklahoma City, and Brad Stockton Oklahoma City; 6 grandchildren, Jared Castle and wife, Colleen, Krystal Mcintire and husband, Josh, Tyler Horton and wife, Monica, Lauren Witte and husband, Greg, Jon Hyde and wife, Shelby, and Austin Hyde; 7 great Grandchildren: Damon Burger, Brooks Witte, Hayden Witte, Danika McIntire, Libby McIntire , Amanda Thirion and Bayn Davis; and many other loved ones and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, December 15, 2017, at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the Blanchard Church of Christ. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM, in the Deyo Mission Cemetery, near Cache.
