He graduated from Cache High School in 1954. He was then drafted into the Army and spent two years in Korea. After his honorable discharge from the army, he attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN where he obtained his degree in mortuary science. Stoney and Jimmy bought the Cache funeral home in 1960 and opened Huddleston's funeral home in Lawton in 1973. He was in the funeral business for over 50 years before his retirement. He also built Hummingbird Estates and golf course, both in Cache. Stoney was active in the community and belonged to many organizations. He was a 32nd degree mason for 50 years; a member of the Eastern Star for 50 years; contributor to the KSWO small business bureau; an honorary member of the Comanche tribe; a life member of the registry of Who's Who; a member of the Cache Chamber of Commerce; a member of the Lawton YMCA; and a member of the Lawton Publishing Company. Stoney is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Marianne Law; son, Tony Huddleston; sisters, Alice Huddleston and Betsy Lockhart-Thompson; brothers, Dearl Huddleston, Earl Huddleston, Johnny Mike Huddleston, and Patrick Henry Huddleston. Survivors include his special companion, Barbara Sloan and her children, Steve Scott and Stephanie Scott; sister, Billie Joyce Dupler; brother, Jimmy Lee Huddleston and wife Sue; and son in law Harry Law, grandchildren, Annette Law, Tony Huddleston, and Courtney Huddleston; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
